How do you get your product right?

Steve Ballmer admitted that Windows Vista was not a good product…

Sure, people have bought Windows 7 hoping for better. Since the ‘Free’ Upgrade program is now over, consumers will have to spend at least $150. How much time will we waste ensuring Windows 7 has all the drivers we need before braving the upgrade.

Gee, if Windows only had a live-cd like popular Linux desktop distros like Ubuntu, Fedora, or OpenSUSE, you could test out Windows before you install. Alas, you have to trust that Microsoft got their desktop product right *this time.*

Tell me in the comments your feelings on Vista to 7 upgrades.
